Awards managed by IGDORE USA incur a 25% F&A rate and 15% MTDC rate, unless otherwise specified by the sponsor.

Getting Started

If you're new to IGDORE USA, please take a moment to view our 5 minute tutorial that explains how we work. We apply a rigorous OS methodology to our work, so take note of a few operational rules for fiscal sponsorship. The process will be familiar to investigators who have worked with federally funded projects, with the added obligation of applying OS principles of transparency, sharing, and access.

Support Request

All new work begins with a proposal request. Use your Google account to fill the Proposal Request Form and draft your budget using the Proposal Budget Template. Make sure that you rename your budget "Lastname Proposal Budget" and save it in an editable format (e.g., Lee Proposal Budget.xlsx).

If you don't have a Google account and live in a region that restricts access to Google and/or use of a VPN to create a new account, contact us for support. Please be advised that this approach may cause significant delays in processing.

If you're ready to start developing a new proposal, please click on the Proposal Request Form. Complete a copy of the Proposal Budget Template and attach it to the request form. We will follow up within 3 business days.

Small Budget Template*

Small Grants & Fellowships

Complete the Proposal Request Form and attach your copy of the Small Budget Template. We generally waive indirect fees on fellowships of any size and grants under $50,000, unless allowed and necessary. Most sponsors set the indirect rate for small award F&A.

If you are ready to plan travel, first estimate the cost by using the Travel Budget Sheet, where you will find instructions for figuring allowable expenses. Then attach it to your completed Travel Request Form.

Other Services

IGDORE USA offers capacity and competencies to support most types of research in all disciplines. We offer support for projects that collect PII, health data, classified data, Indigenous knowledge, and other sensitive information; require IRB monitoring and approval; and need direct project management. Projects that call for access to labs, proving grounds, or other research facilities; equipment and/or instrumentation; library services; or specialized research support should add six months to their proposal submission date to ensure that we can secure the accommodation. In cases where we are unable to provide access to facilities and equipment, we will help investigators understand the options for their sovereign research.
